| During Tuesday evening’s training, members of the Granville Fire Company officially placed our new Scott self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) into service.
The purchase of this important life-safety equipment was made possible through a 2024 FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) that was successfully secured by members of the Granville Fire Company. The $91,714 grant provided funding to replace our previous airpacks, whose cylinders had reached the end of their service life.
During training, members reviewed the operation and features of the new SCBA and spent time becoming familiar with the equipment before it was placed in service.
